Nokia 808 – PureView – Detailed Review – Full Resolution Image Samples and Videos

Nokia 808 – Pure View
Nokia 808 – Pure View is one the magnificent smart phone from Nokia. Truly a Nokia N8 successor. What made all the fans wow about this Symbian Smart Phone is its 41 Mega Pixels Carl Zeiss (Its not a typo error, its actually FORTY ONE MEGA PIXELS) Camera Lens. The phone utilizes Pure View algorithms of Nokia to create crisp and sharp images from its enormous 41 Mega Pixel camera lens.

Nokia 808 – Pure View

In layman’s wording the phone captures seven pixels and combines them using special algorithms to create ONE PURE PIXEL this imaging technique has been introduced by Nokia in its extraordinary smart phone. Thus creating a PURE VIEW. This technique not only reduces noise in the pictures but also delivers crisp and sharp quality of images.

The Nokia 808 has actually two imaging modes:

  • Pure View
  • Full Resolution
The Pure View mode captures the images in maximum available resolution and then applies PURE View algorithms on that full resolution image, afterwards the output can be either 2, 5 or 8 Megapixels. The images created this way are full of detail as the above mentioned process of 7 pixels to 1 pure pixel conversion has been applied over here. This method not only reduces the output file size but also delivers BEST crisp and sharp images.

On the other hand Full Resolution mode offers you to capture images in full resolution up-to maximum of 38 Mega Pixels. You can either view the low resolution images given below or download the FULL RESOLUTION image samples taken from Nokia 808 over here.

needs to hard reset? i just uninstalled my previous version of swype, then installed the one from here on c: , then reboot. then reclace the sys folder on C:  and tryed use…it works, but it’s broken, since does not show the writeing field…

maybe if more people give some feedback, we can figure out how to solve the problem…

            thanks for the attention

i don’t unedrstand the reason for the fix…it worked without showing the writing field before the fix…i don’t see any diference before and after the fix…

i was thinking the fix would show the wrinting field

The installer isn’t fixed in any way. The patch has been created to avoid this expiry issue. Even though if the installer was patched it would have become unsigned and you’ll have to hack the phone to install it. Hack has to be done in either case.

I installed swype from the above link and copied in the dll into the required directory. Engilsh is working fine but I have problems with the other dictionaries. Do I have to install the installer too?

Something is wrong with the language packs posted here. I tried to install the Polish one and it did not work, then I installed from other source the Polish dictionary and it works.

For those of you who have problems installing language packs. Here’s how I did it. I’ve installed this version, but not on C:, instead I’ve installed to phone HDD, D: I believe. Then I went looking for bulgarian lang pack and I’ve found one here: http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/Swype-Symbian-Download-107247.html

I’ve installed to the same location as the swype program using cable connection laptop-phone via Nokia Suite. Nokia suite gave me error installing at the end of the installation, but when I’ve opened swype, the language pack was active and operational. Try it!
p.s. All this is done on a hacked phone.
