Nokia N8 vs I-mate 9502

A Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional based phone which is actually very good, Bill Gates has gone very far but then something had to beat this phone. The most amazing, superb Nokia N8. The Nokia N8 runs on the new Symbian^3 OS. Announced in April, releasing in October but rumored to release on 24 August. The dimensions of the N8 are 113.5 x 59.1 x 12.9 mm, 86 cc while the thick, fat  I-mate 9502 dimensions are 116 x 60 x 17.8 mm. Their weight has a big difference of 65grams. The I-mate 9502 has a TFT resistive touchscreen with 256K colors (65K effective) which is not to good but not too bad while the amazing N8 has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors which is a pretty fancy name but with it goes a fantastic history.
The N8 shocked me when it had multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and a scratch resistant gorilla glass display. I got really impressed by Nokia.
As our usual phones, the N8 also has a 3.5 mm audio jack but the I-mate 9502 has a 2.5 mm audio jack.
The internal memory of the I-mate 9502 is 128 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM while the amazing Nokia N8 beats the internal memory with 16 GB storage, 256MB RAM and 512 MB ROM but can still take a MicroSD card.
Both of these devices do come with HSDPA and HSUPA which some phone don’t have, so consider yourself lucky if you have these phones.
The I-mate 9502 does come with a camera that is at the back with 3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels, autofocus and LED flash instead of a Xenon flash which does make a difference because this is a business type phone and not always used for a camera. But the N8 comes with a good quality camera from which I’ve heard. It comes with 12 MP, 4000×3000 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and a Xenon flash.
The I-mate comes with Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF viewer), Voice memo, multimedia capabilities, File manager, TV-out and I-mate GPRS Configuration(WAP, MMS) while the N8 comes with more tricks up its sleeve with TV-out (720p video) via HDMI and composite, Dolby Digital Plus via HDMI, Anodized aluminum casing, Digital compass, multimedia functions and many more.
The I-mate battery times are up to 180 hours but then the N8 comes with twice the battery time with 390 h (2G) and up to 400 h (3G).
