According to the description, “This new update brings several additions to your Search widget such as search history suggestions and faster access to your favourite search engines. All this plus a few other updates that make it even easier to organise your conversations and send photos with your phone.” The search history and suggestions is pretty cool. After typing in your word, you can select to search the web or your content. The browser opens up quickly for web search, showing results from Google.

I did not find any changes to the photo gallery on my Nokia N8 even though the update description mentioned something about it. Go try it out and let me know if I missed anything.
